Abbiamo partecipando portando lo stupefacente mosaico “Nemo”, realizzato per Disney Cruise. I materiali usati sono chiamati vetrosi e a livello  cromatico sono identici agli smalti bizantini; sono prodotti artigianalmente e l’unica differenza è che sono creati con un sistema moderno, originale ed eco compatibile. Per realizzare Nemo sono stati necessari 450 colori.

Per far sembrare il mosaico così vivo, le tessere sono state posate manualmente, usando solo il cuore della piastra vetrosa.I tagli e le giunture delle tessere sono state create facendo riferimento alla tradizione dell’arte bizantina, e il suo valore artistico crea una continuità pittorica e un’emergente vivacità.

 

We have partecipated with the astonishing “Nemo” mosaic, realized for Disney Cruise. The materials used are called vitreous, and at a cromatic level are identical to the Bizantin enamels; they are handcrafted and the only difference is that they are produced with a modern, original, eco-friendly system. To realize the “Nemo”, has been required 450 colors.

To make the mosaic looks so alive, the tiles are layed by hand, using just the core of the glass plate. The cuts and the junctions have been made referring to the ancient Byzantin artistic tradition, and its artistic value creates a continuity and an emerging pictorial vividness.
